Babassu Oil
Packed with antioxidants and healthy fats, known for its health and moisturizing properties.
Linseed
Full of fatty-acids and anti-oxidants, Linseed is known to help reduce frizz and give hair an increased shine.
Avocado Oil
One of the few oils that can penetrate the hair, delivering intense moisture from within.
Rub the product between your hands and apply on soaking wet hair.
Step 2
Use the “raking/praying hands method” to evenly spread the product throughout your strands.
Step 3
Select your desired styling method (scrunch/ fingercurls/ shingle) to enhance and define.
Step 4
Air dry or diffuse. Avoid touching your hair excessively while drying as this will create frizz. Once completely dry, scrunch to 'break the light cast' using an oil or serum to make your hair soft and bouncy.

"I’ve been using this gel for years and it gave me an amazing cast and curls that would last up to seven days. With the new formula there is no cast in, it just feels sticky and my curls don’t even last a whole day. I am so disappointed and upset with the company and how they change this product. I will have to start my search over and will no longer purchase from Curlsmith."

"I recently started using Curlsmith after years of trial and error with other brands and struggling to maintain my curls. I was pleasantly surprised by several other Curlsmith products - my hair felt smooth and clean, so I thought I’d try a styling product. I struggle with texture sensitivity so I’ve often found difficultly with styling products, but this one is nice. It keeps my curls looking bouncy, and I’m looking forward to trying others as I go. Why did you change it!!!
"Last time I bought the soufflé I loved it so much that I bought a large bottle and it has lasted a good while. Now I bought more to replace my used up bottle and you have changed the formula!! What gives? Why would you change the formula for something that had so many good reviews? It doesn’t have the definition and hold like before! This is gonna have to be returned and now I will have to be hunting for something to replace it. Such a disappointment 😕"

"I am extremely disappointed in the recent changes to the Curl Defining Styling Soufflé. Curlsmith is insisting this is just a 'packaging update,' but the ingredient list tells a different story. The removal of EDTA has made this significantly less effective in hard water, and the reordering of the moisturizing oils means the product no longer provides the rich, defined results it once did. The new consistency is watery and creates zero 'crunch' to scrunch out. Calling this the 'same formula' is a slap in the face to long-term customers who know exactly how this product used to perform. Truly a shame to see a 'Holy Grail' ruined!!! Now I have to go on the search for a new product with a different manufacturer as Curlsmith has lost my trust!"

Hello, I need fragrance-free products due to a health issue. When I search your site, this souffle product comes up. I bought the largest size last time, but now I realize it does not appear to be fragrance-free. I thought the blue labeling indicated your fragrance-free product line? Please advise why fragrance products appear on your site when one searches for your fragrance-free line? May I return this product as I am now afraid to use it? What is correct level hold…..jumbo says level 5, 8 oz bottle says level 8 hold.

Has the scent changed for this product? i just opened a new container and it sort of smells like cologne and is pretty strong, compared to the more mild & slightly fruity scent of my last couple of bottles. i've been a long term user, so it sort of surprised me.

Is this a level 5 or 8 hold? Mine just came in the mail and it says level 8, so does the picture in description for the full one in the description. But the mini and the jumbo size both say level 5 hold. Is this a printing error?
